On 02.07.2018 was held a press-conference at the conference hall of Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkey under Project “Development and promotion of gourmet and wine tourism in the cross-border region of Bulgaria and Turkey (TransGourmeTour)“, ref. № CB005.1.22.046. Partners in the Project are Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Association Thracian Sustainable Development. The project began in August, 2017 and it’s duration is one year. Mr. Recep Zipkinkurt – Chairman of the MB of Edirne CCI, opened the press conference. 25 representatives of the media, tourist information centers and associations attended it.
Elif Yardimci – Project Coordinator, presented the implementation of the Project. The created online platform for the project – Tourist Gourmet Guide for the cross-border region Bulgaria and Greece www.transgourme.eu was presented.
The online platform is trilingual – English, Bulgarian and Turkish and it includes all hotels, restaurants, wineries, diaries, bakeries, food bazars, farms, etc, as well as food festivals and traditional recipes from the cross-border region Bulgaria-Turkey. A mobile app TransGourmeTour shall be ready soon.
The on-line platform will support entrepreneurship from the point of view of tourism, by providing visitors with tourist information through innovative IT tools, with particular emphasis on food and wine in the cross-border region. Final work meeting between the project partners was held after the press conference, where the achieved results and sustainability of the project were discussed.
